Shanti Toution Centre
In our tuition centre, poor children from our neighborhood area coming daily and learn their subjects and play and do some art work, Monday to friday they come from 5 to 7.30 p.m and on Saturdays we have some events like music, dance or art classes or we take them to the play ground etc.
Here the kids come after school hours to learn. We have three part time teachers to teach the children with their subjects, like Tamil, Maths, Science and Social Science. And some volunteers come from time to time to help the kids with english lessons and art classes.
Our children here they are very poor in English also other subjects, because most of them go to the public school, the public school system is not very strict and its hard for the teachers to focus each and every child. So the best ones doing best and the poor ones stay poor for many years. And the parents are not educated, so they cant help the children at home, so we have opened our centre to encourage the children to study and we give them some joyful time.
About 80 children coming age group from 5 to 16 years, they come in two groups 5 yrs to 10 yrs as first group in the first hour, then the second hour the 11 yrs to 16 yrs the bigger children in the second group.
